Birthplace of Blink-182’s — The house is widely recognized where guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge grew up and where he and Mark Hoppus first met and started playing music.
Mark Hoppus, who moved to the San Diego area for work and college, was introduced to Tom DeLonge by Hoppus’s sister at DeLonge’s home, leading to hours of jamming and co-writing songs in the garage.
The band’s early rehearsals and songwriting happened in Tom DeLonge’s garage, where Hoppus and DeLonge exchanged ideas and created some of their first material.
From these beginnings near Treeridge Terrace, the band became part of the Southern California punk and skate-punk scene.
