Opened in 1896, the Sutro Baths featured seven pools and could accommodate up to 10,000 visitors at once!
The pools were filled with water directly from the Pacific Ocean during high tide, using a clever system of pumps and valves.
Besides swimming, visitors could enjoy a museum, ice skating rink, and even a concert hall!
In 1966, a mysterious fire engulfed the structure, leaving behind the ruins that can still be explored today.
Some visitors claim to have seen ghostly figures and heard eerie sounds echoing through the ruins at night!
