Fun Facts

The three towering sandstone peaks visible from the viewpoint are named Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, after the biblical patriarchs.

The tallest of the three, Abraham Peak, stands at an impressive 6,890 feet above sea level.

The Court of the Patriarchs Viewpoint is just a short walk from the shuttle stop, making it one of the most accessible viewpoints in Zion National Park.

The sandstone formations at the Court of the Patriarchs are estimated to be around 150 million years old, dating back to the Jurassic period.

From the viewpoint, you can also see Mount Moroni, another striking formation named after a figure from the Book of Mormon.

The early morning light casts a warm glow on the peaks, making it an ideal time for capturing stunning photographs.

Visitors might spot mule deer, rock squirrels, and various bird species while enjoying the view.
