The Titan II Missile Base 570-1 in Oracle, Arizona, was one of 54 sites across the United States designed to house and launch intercontinental ballistic missiles during the Cold War.
The Titan II missile program was decommissioned in 1987 as part of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) agreements between the United States and the Soviet Union.
Standing at 103 feet tall, the Titan II missile was capable of carrying a nuclear warhead over 5,500 miles.
After being decommissioned, the missile base was sold to private owners who have since converted it into a unique residential property.
Before being repurposed for military use, the Titan II rockets were initially developed for NASA's Gemini space program.
The base was constructed with reinforced concrete and steel to protect against potential nuclear blasts, ensuring the missile's readiness for launch.
