Opened in 2016, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters was the first attraction in Disney California Adventure to use a trackless ride system, allowing vehicles to move independently and dance in sync to Italian music.

The ride replaced Luigi's Flying Tires, which closed in 2015 due to operational challenges and guest feedback.
The attraction is themed around Luigi, a character from Disney-Pixar's Cars, who invites guests to join his cousins for a dance party in his hometown of Carsoli, Italy.
