Fantasy Harbour was the site of the Waccamaw Pottery outlet mall and theme park, which opened in 1986 and included attractions like a carousel and a miniature train.
The area was home to the famed country music venue, the Carolina Opry, before it moved to its current location on the Grand Strand.
The area was envisioned as a major entertainment complex, but many of the planned attractions were never completed due to financial difficulties.
It is situated near the Intracoastal Waterway, which is a 3,000-mile inland waterway along the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico coasts of the United States.
The area was developed by Burroughs & Chapin, a prominent real estate and development company in Myrtle Beach.
